How
to Apply Tag-Alongs and Tots
Tag-Alongs and Tots
are fun and easy to use. The best way to
attach Tag-Alongs is to glaze and fire the pieces together in the kiln. This fusing technique allows the finished product
to be more durable. Using Duncan French
Dimensions as glue, you may attach your painted Tag-Along to your painted base
piece. Be careful when dipping your
pieces into clear glaze as the pieces are not permanently attached. Bisque Imports carries French Dimensions so
you may purchase all of your Tag-Along supplies in one place. You may also dip the pieces separately then
place Tag-Alongs in the desired location prior to firing. If you do not wish to fuse the pieces in the
kiln, you may fire the pieces separately then glue the pieces together with
E6000 glue. This method is good when
attaching a piece to a vertical surface such as a vase. Do not use glue on an area intended for
contact for food or beverages.
While you can use
French Dimensions to apply a painted Tot to a painted base piece, the easiest
best way to attach Tots is to glaze the pieces separately then place the Tots
on the respective pieces when loading the kiln.
Tots may also be used on their own to create unique game pieces or mini
decorations.
