Pebeo markers are easy to use and provide colorful results that are quite durable. Use Pebeo Pens on glazed bisque and glass that have been fired. Once your design is finished, allow to dry for 24 hours. Place the piece in a cold oven. Set the temperature at 300°F. Once the temperature has been reached, bake for 35 minutes. Turn off the oven, open the door and allow to cool. Once baked, Pebeo markers are food safe; however, it is best to leave the center of a dish undecorated if a knife will potentially be used on the piece. A knife can scratch through the Pebeo paint even after baking. Porcelaine Markers come in regular and fine point tips.
Suggestions for use:
Make and Takes: Keep a selection of glazed plates, platters and frames on hand for those last-minute gifts. Sell the glazed piece with a selection of Pebeo markers. The customer will bake the piece once they have completed their design. You may wish to paint simple designs on which customers may add Pebeo designs.
Signature Plates: You may also encourage customers to paint a design on a piece to be glazed and fired in your studio. Once the piece has been fired, the customer purchases a Pebeo marker to be used for signing at a wedding, anniversary celebration or for a school project.
Use with Glass: After firing your glass piece, use Pebeo pens to add your signature or other decorations. Bake the glass in your oven to make the Pebeo permanent.
By the way, be sure to store your Pebeo markers horizontally.
