Bisque Imports' Carolina Frit is made from COE 96 glass. It's great for adding patterns to your glass art, and perfect for fusing in character pods. The tumbled edges reduce the risk of cuts.
Frit is ideal for filling in open areas of your glass design, adding intricate details and creating texture. Frit is chunks of glass that is available in four different sizes (depending on color) -- X-Coarse, Coarse, Medium, and Fine. While some artists use only frit in their work, this versatile product is easy to use for manipulating and creating designs on your glass blank. Use Frit to add intricate details and texture to your glass art. Frit is ideal for making detailed designs such as frit landscapes or frit portraits, but can also be used for easier projects like making jewelry pendants using jewelry pod molds. Frit is an essential Warm Glass element to have in your studio and an easy way for customers to create one-of-a-kind designs.
Use #SP422 Klyr-fire Glass Glue or Elmer's glue in small amounts to attach frit to your glass blank. You can also spray your finished frit art with hairspray from a spritzer bottle to secure the frit in place. We don't recommend hairspray in an aerosol can because the force of the spray may move the frit out of place. When the glass is fired, the hairspray residue burns off.
