The Elizabeth Bowl: 1. Create a paint wash mix consisting of 3 parts water to 1 part Sunflower Yellow. Brush over the entire inside surface of the bowl. Once dry, repeat using Really White. Let dry. 2. Use painter's tape to mask the inside center of the bowl. 3. Paint the inside sides of the bowl with 3 coats of Dark Ginger. Let dry. 4. Using a Liner #4 brush and Bright Briarwood, down each inside side, paint wavy lines and concentric circles to create the wood grain look. Let dry. 5. Repeat step #3 and #4 to paint the outside surface of the bowl. Let dry. 6. Remove the painter's tape from the inside center of the bowl. 7. Using a pencil and the template provided, sketch the fox image on the inside center of the bowl. 8. Fill in the tip of the fox's tail with 3-4 coats of Ivory. 9. Fill in the remaining areas of the body and tail with 3-4 coats of Bright Tangerine. 10. With a detail brush and Dark Black, lightly outline the fox image. Let dry. The Elizabeth Salad: 1. Create a paint wash mix consisting of 3 parts water to 1 part Sunflower Yellow. Brush over the entire surface of the plate. Once dry, repeat using Really White. Let dry. 2. Use painter's tape to mask the inside center of the plate. 3. Paint the rim of the plate with 3 coats of Dark Ginger. Let dry. 4. Using a Liner #4 brush and Bright Briarwood, along the rim, paint wavy lines and concentric circles to create the wood grain look. Let dry. 5. Remove the painter's tape from the center of the plate. 6. Using a pencil and the template provided, sketch the fox image on the inside center of the bowl. 7. Paint the bottom half of the head, the stomach area, and the tip of the tail with 3-4 coats of Ivory. 8. Use a detail brush to paint the inside of each ear with 3 coats of Light Pink. 9. Paint the nose using a detail brush and Dark Taupe. 10. Fill in the remaining parts of the body and tail with 3-4 coats of Bright Tangerine. 11. Using a detail brush and Dark Black, accent the stomach of the fox, paint each eye, and then outline the entire fox image. Let dry. The Elizabeth Dinner: 1. Create a paint wash mix consisting of 3 parts water to 1 part Sunflower Yellow. Brush over the entire surface of the plate. Once dry, repeat using Really White. Let dry. 2. Use painter's tape to mask the inside center of the plate. 3. Paint the rim of the plate with 3 coats of Dark Ginger. Let dry. 4. Using a Liner #4 brush and Bright Briarwood, along the rim, paint wavy lines and concentric circles to create the wood grain look. Let dry. 5. Remove the painter's tape from the center of the plate. 6. Using a pencil and the template provided, sketch the fox image on the inside center of the bowl. 7. Using a detail brush and Dark Black, accent the stomach of the fox, paint each eye, and then outline the entire fox image. Let dry. Once completed, dip each piece in Pure Brilliance and fire to Cone 06. |
