Bisque Imports is proud to introduce our exclusive line of stoneware bisque in December 2023! We currently stock Mayco's stoneware bisque line as well, making us the largest stoneware bisque supplier in the industry.
Our partners at Mayco have created educational programs and materials for those who wish to learn how to properly glaze and fire stoneware bisque, which must be fired to Cone 6 (2345 degrees) to fully vitrify. We encourage you to take advantage of these valuable resources from Mayco:
Stoneware bisque is made from a mid-range clay that is more durable than earthenware, making it ideal for functional dinnerware, patio and garden shapes, and more. Note: Stoneware bisque is fired to cone 6 (2345 degrees) and should not be fired with earthenware in cone 06 (1828 degrees) firings.
Stoneware glazes from Mayco are simply gorgeous! These glazes fire to cone 6 (2345 degrees) and are rated to cone 10. Product descriptions include information about food safety and movement during firing for each glaze. View Mayco's complete Stoneware Glaze collection HERE.
