Begin with your 8x8" clear ICE sheet. Cut this sheet glass down to 2 pieces each measuring 8" x 4" using a Pistol Grip Glass Cutter and 1" Running Pliers. When cutting glass, use the Pistol Grip Glass Cutter to score your cut line, then break along the scored line with the 1" Running Pliers. Prior to cutting, use a permanent marker to plan any designs as needed.
Score and cut a variety of polygon plant pot shapes using your glass tools and Chestnut Brown Opalescent Blocks. Secure in place along the bottom edge of each clear glass base using glue.
Score and cut rectangular shapes in your desired Glass Strip colors, to be secured and used on the rim of each plant pot.
Begin designing your cacti plants! Using bright green Buffalo Chips, use your Wheel Glass Nipper to create smaller pieces with rounded tops and flat bottoms in various sizes. Arrange these pieces in an upward climbing way to your desired plant pots. Secure in place with glue. Add pieces of colored Coarse Frit to the top of each piece to create the look of cactus flowers.
Use a Wheel Glass Nipper and either various green or brown Buffalo Chips or Glass Strips to create long, jagged pieces for the tree design and other plant designs. Again, create the look of flowers or leaves using pieces of Coarse Frit. Get creative with your designs and shapes! Secure all pieces in place with glue.
Use a variety of blue and clear Fine Frit to fill in the background sky area. If desired, add various brown Fine Frit along the "ground" beneath the plant pots.
Throughout your design, add accent designs along the plants and the plant pots using pieces of variously colored Glass Noodles or Stringers.
Full fuse or tack fuse your project, as desired, using the appropriate 6 segment firing schedule.
