Mayco Stoneware Glazes - 16 Ounces
Product Description:
Wouldn't it be amazing to have a brand new and unique stoneware glaze you could use in your art studio? Then you need to get Light Flux. This fantastic stoneware glaze creates a running and dripping effect on stoneware when in combination with other glazes, and it guarantees a unique style and design.
SW401P Light Flux is a mid-range glaze that was developed to be used in combination with other mid-range glazes to produce flowing effects. It is designed to fire to cone 5/6, but it can be fired to cone 9/10 (movement will be more pronounced at higher temperatures).
The order in which you apply Flux – above or beneath another glaze – impacts the fired result. Variables that influence movement include the fluidity of the companion glaze, application methods, thickness and orientation of application, number of coats, firing temperature and program. To prevent glaze run-off, avoid applying Flux to the bottom third of your ware. The unique material composite of Flux alters the character of the supplemental glazes, when applied in combination.
So, add some special effects to your stoneware. Get the Light Flux for your next art studio project. It's an awesome tool to keep on your shelves, so be sure to add it to your cart today.
Use Mayco Stoneware Glazes on most midrange clay bodies. These glazes are intended for use at cone range 5-6 but are also stable and pleasing in firings up to cone 10. Mayco Stoneware glazes are food safe if used according to the manufacturer's directions. Please read link below for further information about these glazes.
